In tantra limbo would be the state of the disembodied mind after death; unable to perceive anything including its own existence.
A mind unable to maintain parallellism with its reactive momenta or samskara (actions/reactions not yet consumed, nature) cannot remain with that body, in that space-time which are not conducive to its nature and its expression and then the person dies
