A Roman strategy game of custodial capture, reconstructed from fragments — no complete ancient rulebook survives, so this follows the ruleset given in Historic Board and Dice Games (Gothic Green Oak). Play in two phases: first both sides place their men onto an empty board, one at a time; then you move, trying to trap enemy men between two of your own. A trapped man is turned over rather than removed — his side gets one more turn to rescue him by capturing one of the two men holding him before he's lost for good.
